Preparation Classes are small so you will receive hands on attention. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can stretch in, and we recommend that you do not eat for 90 minutes before class, or eat lightly. Gentle Flow: Perfect for beginners or the seasoned yogi, this class provides a gentler, slower, more relaxing approach to your practice. Each class is built on the basic principles of yoga including breath connection, proper alignment of yoga poses, building strength and increasing flexibility. This slower flow will maximize your body's true potential and leave you feeling stretched and relaxed!
Vinyasa Sculpt: Incorporate light hand weights as a prop during practice! Tap into your energy center and increase strength and stamina! By adding light weights (1lb, 3lb, or 5lb) you will boost metabolism and strengthen the muscles, bones and joints. **WEIGHTS ARE OPTIONAL, CLASS CAN BE DONE WITHOUT WEIGHTS**
Practicing yoga with weights will improve health and longevity of bones, strengthen and improve the efficiency of the heart, increase core strength and joint stability and keeps us leaner! This sculpting class will allow you to detox, strengthen, stretch and relax!. All Levels Welcome. Must bring your own hand weights. If you do not use weights on a regular basis I would recommend starting with 1lb or 3lb weights. (DO NOT EXCEED 5lbs)
Hot Yoga Fusion: This Hot Yoga Fusion Class is a combination of 3 styles of yoga. Starting with Classic Himalayan Style Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa for 1/3 of the class before moving to a varied selection winding down with Yin poses before moving to final Shavasana. Temperature around 91-92 degrees it's a good idea to bring a towel. You are likely to sweat & work hard before winding down nicely.
Hot Yoga Detox: Join us for Power Yoga in a room heated to about 87-92 degrees. This yoga class will focus on methods to help the body detoxify and purify itself, expand and lengthen connective tissue while sweating out toxins. This class will have you leaving feeling energized for the rest of your day! The heat in hot yoga not only purifies, but is also beneficial for deep stretching.
Warm Detox Flow: Not sure about a hot yoga class? Warm detox flow will take place in a room heated between 75 & 80 degrees. A Vinyasa style yoga flow will focus on the connection of breath to movement to increase detoxification and purification of the body. The warm temperature will help expand and lengthen connective tissue, allowing the body to stretch more deeply in each posture. Condition the body in this warm atmosphere then try a hot yoga class to challenge the body further. This is an All-Level class, all are welcome!
All Level Flow: This Vinyasa Flow builds on the traditional style of Sun Salutations and Warrior poses to get the energy flowing through the body at a nice steady pace. A beautiful moving mediation is created by connecting the breath as we move through the poses. Your body will release stress and tension while building strength and finding flexibility throughout the body. As you rise out of Savasana you will feel renewed and ready to take on the day. The perfect practice for any age, level or ability.
Strength & Serenity: Pilates Infused Yoga: This 60 minute class is designed to build muscle and core strength as well as increase flexibility. The combination of Yoga and Pilates also know, as “Yogalates” is the perfect combination of breath-work, mindful movement, strengthening, and peaceful-relaxation. This class will also help improve muscle tone and weight loss. Suitable for all-levels!
Yin Yoga: Yin Yoga allows the body to completely relax and de-stress all while rejuvenating the mind. This passive form of yoga targets the connective tissues that connect our muscles to the bone to increase your natural range of motion and flexibility. Most poses are held for a longer duration while seated or lying down to create a greater yet gentler opening all while finding stillness. Props such as blocks, blankets and bolsters are used to offer the body more support and comfort. Yin yoga is for the beginner or the advanced yogi of any age and a perfect balance to your active flow classes.
Therapeutic Yoga: Therapeutic Yoga is expertly designed for those recovering from, or living with, injury or illness. This 75 minute class blends restorative yoga, gentle yoga, breath work, guided meditation, energy healing, and tools to help you in your journey to better health and wellness, and to bring the body back into balance. Classes will focus on self-healing, body awareness, and techniques to live your yoga practice both on and off the mat.
Back to the Basics: This class is a hands-on workshop-style approach to yoga where Suzanne will guide you through accessible yoga postures. Classical yoga poses are taught, along with a few “twists” to help keep the mind and body interested. Modifications are offered for each posture. With a slower pace, there is time to explore individual postures so students can build confidence and familiarity with the pose. More experienced students can use this practice to refine fundamentals and explore deeper sensations. In addition to the physical practice, Suzanne places emphasis on reflection and the deeper and more spiritual meaning of yoga. She will help you to take your yoga “off the mat” and incorporate it into your everyday life.
First Friday's Candlelight Yin Restorative Yoga: Join us the first Friday of the month for Candlelight Yin Restorative Yoga. Our practice will include Restorative, Yin, pranayama and guided meditation. Yin Yoga is a stable, passive, cool practice that is done seated and involves holding each asana (pose) for several minutes. Yin is designed to open the connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) that surround the muscles and joints, to increase circulation, and to help you become more present. Restorative Yoga Poses allow the body to feel calm, relaxed and still. We Nurture our bodies with these types of poses which are a great compliment to our yin practice.
Reiki Restorative Yoga: In this class you will hold restorative yoga postures to help relieve effects of stress while being fully supported with the use of props. Poses are held for 5-8 minutes to encourage your body to go into deep relaxation and release deeply rooted tension throughout the body. During this practice you will be able to receive hands on ancient REIKI healing energy from Sam. All levels are welcome, no prior yoga experience necessary.
Early Morning Yoga Flow: Practice Early Morning Yoga Sequence to get our energetic juices flowing! This yoga practice stretches and strengthens the muscles with a strong focus on breath and body alignment. Practice on an empty stomach. Get your workout in early, connect to your breath, be mindful and find what feels good. Classes ranges from a flowing practice (vinyasa or breath-synchronized movement) suitable for all levels.
Slow Flow: Slow Flow connects accessible yoga postures with breath and fluid movement. With a slower pace, there is time to explore individual postures so that new students can build confidence and familiarity, while more experienced students can refine fundamentals of alignment and explore deeper sensations. Classical yoga poses are taught, along with a few “twists” to help keep the mind and body interested. Students can customize their class experience with the options offered for each guided posture.
Evening Flow*(Not in Session)*: Tap into your energy center for the week ahead! You will begin practice with a Vinyasa style Sun Salutation Flow designed to boost your metabolism and strengthen the body. As we wind down the practice you will find peace and stillness in a restorative pose preparing you for a restful nights sleep. Beginners Yoga*(Not in Session)* This class provides the basics of yoga and is nicely paced program with more description and commentary accompanying each asana or posture. Breath awareness and relaxation also are introduced. More experienced students will gain a better, and more detailed understanding of the architecture of the poses, as well as the underlying philosophy of the yoga practice.
Kids Yoga*(Not in Session)* This class will introduce your little ones to a simple and structured Yoga program that will help kids calm themselves and feel happy. Your children will learn basic postures of Yoga in a fun and supportive environment. Kids 4 to 10 years old are welcome. Children may attend with or without parent at the discretion of parent and instructor.
